AN INTIMATE GATHERING TO REINVENT THE WORLD

LAST APRIL, WE CELEBRATED OUR INAUGURAL ISSUE, reGENERATION,
WITH FRIENDS, FAMILY, CREATIVES AND IDEALISTS…

Force Majeure launched its first issue with an exhibition at Blue Monster Gallery in Bali, a space known for showcasing emerging and underground artists from across Indonesia and beyond.

The event brought together artists, designers, sustainability professionals, and friends to explore the themes at the heart of Issue 01: thrift, vintage, upcycling, and the creative potential of what already exists.
Conversations throughout the night focused on art, fashion, waste, and what needs to change in the industry.

A Multi-Sensory Exhibition

The show was built around the content of our first issue and designed to reflect the layered, chaotic, and resourceful spirit of circular fashion:

  • Photowall: Large-scale images pulled from our editorials, interviews, and articles created an immersive visual map of the issue.

  • Textile Waste Installation: A tangled and chaotic floor-to-ceiling sculpture made from secondhand clothing, referencing the reality of global textile waste.

  • Upcycled Fashion Showcase: Original work from Perca Project, IRMAWYSTUDIO, and Force Majeure was displayed throughout the space.

  • Behind-the-Scenes Video: A projection looped footage from our shoots β€” documenting styling, makeup, and production behind the issue.

  • Music + Drinks: A playlist curated by DJ Your Highness and drinks from Island Brewing, a local beer brand, set the mood.

This event was the first public step in Force Majeure’s long-term vision: to use fashion as a platform for critical conversation, creativity, and sustainable change.
